UnityCorp's "Piccolo" Nano-ITX Case June 16, 2006
This blue beauty is a 135×135×75mm Nano-ITX case called the "Piccolo" from UnityCorp in Japan. We took a quick look at it while we were watching the football reporting valuable news items for you over at Computex.

The case was of solid Aluminium construction, with a ventilation grille in the top. The power switch was of the 'soft-touch' variety, below two rather useful USB ports in the front panel. There's no space inside for an optical drive, with magnetic storage courtesy of the 2.5in laptop-style hard drive common in many Mini-ITX cases.

On the rear panel the outputs of the EPIA N Nano-ITX board can clearly be seen, together with a DC input socket to mate with the external AC adapter. Presumably there's a DC converter tucked away in there, but we never got a chance to reveal the Piccolo's internal delights. If we had blagged our complimentary combination LED torch and screwdriver set from AMD earlier in the week we'd have been in there for a case guts photo like a whippet after a ferret.
