Retail Box Contents

All the EPIAs arrive with at least 7 items in the box:

The driver CD, user manual, floppy cable, ATA-100 HDD cable, an I/O panel, a "VIA EPIA Mini-ITX Dream Catalyst" case badge and of course the motherboard itself.

In addition, the EPIA M 10000 comes with a PCI backplate with 2 x USB 2.0 and 2 x Firewire sockets that attach to pin headers on the board, and the EPIA TC 10000 comes with a small wiring loom to power additional devices through its built-in DC-DC converter.

EPIA Drivers

The driver CD for each of the boards contains appropriate Windows installers (98SE, ME, 2000 and XP) for VGA, Audio, LAN, USB 2.0 and the all-important Hyperion 4 in 1 drivers. Install the 4 in 1 drivers first - they improve the performance and maintain the stability of all systems using VIA chipsets, particularly IDE compatibility and graphics stability.

Drivers are occasionally updated, so we made sure we had the most current versions, available from either viapsd.com and mirrored at viaembedded.com - here's a list of all currently available drivers:
