New CPUs for NA60X Network Appliances
We've updated the CPU selection for our NA60X Network Appliances to include the 7th Gen Intel range by default. The NA60X can be configured with a processor appropriate to its workload. Smaller installations can be built with a Celeron or Pentium. If you are running multiple VPN connections or deep packet inspection you will require more processing power. We've got you covered here - up to an i7 can be fitted.
IN WIN Chopin in Black and Silver
Our favourite case at the moment is the Chopin from IN WIN, available in Black and Silver. The Chopin has an integrated 150W PSU which is powerful enough to power an i7 processor, but also very quiet in operation. The case can fit 2x 2.5in drives internally, can be mounted horizontally and vertically, and has a delightful 4mm brushed aluminium shell.

Long-Availability Servers
We have added a new "Servers" category and selection tool on our left navigation bar, together with a revised naming convention. Servers prefixed with "NA" are Network Appliances, i.e. Multiple LAN Servers with front-mounted LAN ports, for ease of access. Traditional 1U servers are prefixed with "R1U". All our servers are long-availability and can be provided as easy to assemble parts or pre-builds with extended warranty.
The next digit indicates the processor speed/type: 2 is Celeron N2930, 4 is Pentium N4200 with AES-NI, 6 are Socket 1151 boards supporting up to i7. We've left some gaps here! The final 2 digits indicate the number of LAN ports. So for example an NA204 is an N2930-powered Network Server Appliance with N2930 processor and 4 LAN ports.

The JBC313 uses mSATA storage, whilst it's taller brother the JBC323 can also use a 2.5in drive. A fresh OpenELEC installation was capable of 1080p playback without breaking a sweat. The N2807 processor brings down the power consumption of the JBC range to below 10W for the first time. Just 8.1W consumption, faster than any previous generation Atom and similar performance to the Celeron J1800. The JBC400 is a tiny powerhouse in the palm of a hand.

The EPIA CN range comes in 1.0GHz fanless and 1.3GHz flavours, and has dual SATA, TV Out and the CN700 chipset. The EPIA EN range comes in 1.2GHz fanless and 1.5GHz varieties, and adds a host of board connectors. The EPIA EK has Dual LAN and up to 4 COM ports, and is available in 800MHz fanless and 1.0GHz models. And for the hard core amongst you, we have a limited number of Dual 1.0GHz CPU EPIA VT310DP boards with 3 LAN sockets. With so many changes to the EPIA range come different memory types. We now stock the full range of 12x12cm Nano-ITX motherboards. There are two ranges: The EPIA N has a full back I/O panel. The NL is designed for customers who require a reduced rear I/O panel, with all the connectors available separately on pin headers. The 5000 and 8000 versions are fanless, and run at 533 and 800MHz. The fastest boards are the 1GHz 10000 models, which have a small (but quiet) heatsink fan.

Build your own Fanless Mini-ITX System using our T2e Chassis Kit. The T2e suppports up to 2 hard drives and up to 2 PCI cards, and is compatible with EPIA M, MII, CL, PD and SP motherboards. This kit is suitable for confident system builders only, as it involves the removal of the CPU heatsink on your Mini-ITX board, and the fitting of a fanless CPU heatsink.
We still have a very few remaining Scythe E-Otonashi cases left, which are also fanless, but a slightly different animal - smaller, with no space for a PCI slot, and designed for the EPIA M with a 2.5in hard drive only. Update: All gone!

The picoPSU-120 12V DC-DC ATX power supply has arrived in stock and we're amazed at how freakishly small it is! It measures just 31x45x20mm - about the size of two AA batteries, and plugs straight into the ATX connector on your motherboard - there are no bulky connecting cables. You can power any of our boards (and many others) using the picoPSU, with an appropriate AC adapter. And we have those too! An attached cable harness provides two HDD and one floppy/slimline optical drive power connector. We'll have more pictures on the main page soon.

Scythe in Japan, have created the noiseless E-Otonashi case, specially for the EPIA M 10000 motherboard. The E-Otonashi makes use of a rather clever Heatlane heatpipe attached between the CPU and original CPU heatsink (with original fan removed). Our upside-down picture shows the rubber-sleeved black-anodized aluminum heatsink on the base. And did you know we can ship orders placed after 6pm same-day? You do now.

This means CHEAPER prices (maybe as much as 8% cheaper), because we don't have to convert our prices into US dollars and back again. We have changed international couriers, allowing us to reduce our costs dramatically. Typical savings range from 25% to 80% (!!) on the prices we had with our previous international courier. Delivery times should also be more accurate, and we hope to have international tracking numbers available to customers from the beginning to middle of next week.

"As soon as I saw my Minicube case I thought the same thing I thought when I saw my Mini-ITX board - god thats small. The case is very well made and easy to access even being as small as it is. The cube opened via 3 thumb screws, and the first thing I noticed is that it has no sharp edges so no nasty cuts here. The Mini-ITX motherboard slides in no problem and screws in easily to the screw mounts. I added to the case a television capture card which was lying around, my single platter 20gig maxtor drive, 256mb ram, and then i tried my Sony slot cdrom drive - oops too long - should've measured it. I had a short form cd but it was at work on my desk DOH !!! I wasn't going to leave the cube cdromless so I removed the LG-DVD from one of my main machines and that fitted fine. Screwed on the lid, installed Win98 (the first cd I grabbed) and it ran like a dream. The cube is very very quiet and suprisingly light with all the stuff inside. I advise anyone who has not got the time or know how to build their own case for the Mini-ITX board to get a Chyang Fun MiniCube Mini-ITX Case - you will not be disappointed."

Navigation is by the quicklinks bar on the left, and to get things going we're offering special prices on EPIA motherboards. The more astute amongst you may have noticed that we can't spell. Well that's because we're based in the UK, and this is how we spell here. Being UK based, we provide Next Day delivery to UK customers (for orders arriving before 3.30PM GMT). We ship anywhere in the world, using insured couriers. Typical times for Europe are 1 or 2 days. And for countries outside the EU, sales are tax free. All shipping costs are calculated by the shopping basket once you select a valid shipping destination. If you don't see your destination, please email us, and we'll add it for you.
All transactions are calculated in UK pounds, Euros or US dollars - there is a currency selector on the top right of the page.
