DC-DC Converters
DC-DC converters accept a single direct current input, and convert it into very stable 3V, 5V and 12V lines that a Mini-ITX motherboard needs. The DC input will normally come from an external AC Adapter. Our most popular DC-DC converters are picoPSUs:
picoPSU comparison chart
This chart classes Mini-ITX motherboard types as the following:
- Socket : Socket LGA775/LGA1156/AM2/AM3 Motherboards
- Embedded : Boards with attached Atom/C3/C7 processors (inc. ION)
- C7: Very low power motherboards with Geode/C3/C7 processors
Please note that compatability can only be assured when paired with an appropriate AC Adapter or other DC power source. When socket LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1155/AM2/AM3 processors are used, their power consumption must be well within the rating of the DC Adapter. Allow for other board components when estimating power consumption of socket boards. A 65 Watt TDP processor would require at least a 90 Watt power source, not counting other peripherals such as hard disks.
A general guide for estimating peripheral power usage is 1 Watt for an SSD, 4 Watts for 2.5in drives, 8-10+ Watts for 3.5in drives, 4 Watts for slimline optical drives and 50+ Watts for a single 5.25in optical drive. Check manufacturer's specifications for graphic card and other card types.
We recommend the 110W/150W/192W AC Adapters and picoPSU-120/picoPSU-120 Mini-Fit/picoPSU-150-XT/picoPSU-160-XT with Socket Mini-ITX boards. Most Embedded boards and peripherals can be powered with the 80W AC Adapter and picoPSU-80 or picoPSU-90. The 60W AC Adapter can be used in many cases.
Only certain picoPSUs are compatible with the Mini-Fit power connector on the 150W and 192W AC Adapters. Check the '150W' column or individual item descriptions.
Please note that batteries suffer from voltage drop over time, and cranking vehicles causes voltage spikes - our vehicle PSUs are better suited for battery and vehicle use.

Universal 12V DC 19W 16A AC Adapter suitable for use *only* with the following picoPSU DC-DC Converters using the provided 4pin Mini-DIN to Mini-FIT JR Adapter:
Notes: Adapter is fanless. Cannot be used with circular chassis panel mount holes (e.g. on the M200, M300, M350 enclosures) without case modification. Full size (5.25in) optical drives draw a lot of power at startup - use the 192W AC Adapter with a picoPSU-120, picoPSU-150X-XT or picoPSU-160-XT. Always email us to check compatibility if you do not intend to use with Mini-ITX equipment.
This adapter comes with a UK power cable as standard. A Euro or US Power cable can be added. Universal adapter - will work with any voltage 110 - 240V.

Intelligent Vehicle PSU Kits
Our intelligent Vehicle PSU kits will provide a regulated output to your Mini-ITX board, while monitoring the battery of your vehicle. Rapid voltage changes are protected against, and graceful timed shutdowns are possible. Designed to provide power and to control the ON/OFF switch of a motherboard (PC) based on ignition status, M2-ATX is a wide input (6-24V) vehicle or car DC-DC ATX power supply capable of surviving tough car engine cranks (down to 5.7V) as well as transient over-voltage situations.
8 user selectable microcontroller driven timing modes, allowing you to choose up to 8 ignition/shutdown vehicle / car timing schemes. While in deep sleep mode, M2-ATX constantly monitors your car battery voltage levels, automatically shutting down until battery levels reach safe levels.
M2-ATX comes equipped with ATX, Molex HDD, SATA HDD and Floppy cable harness, jumpers, faston connectors and 2 pin cables for motherboard ON/OFF switch. Just connect it to your 12V or 24V car/boat/RV battery and power up your PC.
Designed to work with the VoomPC and VoomPC 2, but is also a direct size compatible replacement with Morex 26xx, 27xx, 36xx, Travla C134, C150, C158, C159 and Tranquil T2e cases. Dimensions: 45mm x 160mm (1.77in x 6.31in). 160W Output - ideal for our Pentium M/Intel Core boards. Not compatible with EPIA PD boards.
*Note: If your board has a 4 pin 12V P4 power connector, you will need add a Molex to 12V P4 Power Cable. Choose 110W AC Adapter for socket boards, 60W or 80W AC Adapter for embedded boards.
