Upgrade to D2500HN: Worldwide stock of the D2500HN processors are now depleted. This board is identical to the D2500HN but with the 66% faster D2550 processor fitted. Power draw and component layout is identical between the boards. These boards will be available from the end of March 2017.
Intel stopped producing motherboards under their own name in 2013. The same factory (ODM) continues to make these boards under licence from Intel. These boards are functionally and physically identical and with the same warranty, without the Intel logo.
Legacy Board: This chipset is suited to running Legacy OS such as Ubuntu 10, 12 and Windows XP and 7. If you require very recent OS support please consider alternatives. This board can be considered a replacement/upgrade for the Intel D410MO and D425KT boards (though please consider the port and chipset differences).

Suitable Cases: The D2550HN has a standard sized heatsink - all Mini-ITX cases with a power supply will fit. The board does not have an IDE port, so IDE devices cannot be connected (e.g. the CF reader on M200, M200-LCD, M300, M300-LCD).
Recommended picoPSUs: All our picoPSUs will work with this board. If using one HDD, the picoPSU-80/90 and 60W/80W AC Adapter combination will be sufficient. A picoPSU with a 24pin ATX connector is not required.

*Support for 64-bit OS and 8GB Memory: This board operates in 64-bit mode and can address 8GB of memory. Intel's official support for this board is limited to 32-bit Windows (which can only address 3.5GB memory). No 64-bit video drivers are available, so 64-bit installations will have limited screen resolutions and no video acceleration. Screenshot of Linux operating in 64-bit mode here.

Cooling: This board has no fan and will get quite warm under load. Successful motherboard and case cooling is a combination of external environment, internal airflow, heatsink size, chassis design and workload. We recommend always connecting any existing case fans, and strongly suggest adding a fan if using a fanless case with this board (such as the M350 or Thin Client cases).
Memory Notes: The D2550HN supports up to 8GB DDR3(L) 1333/1066 memory running at 1066MHz on 2x DDR3(L) SODIMMs. This is not compatible with DDR/DDR2 memory. Fully tested DDR3 SODIMMs are available here.
