Multiple, Re-configurable Drive Positions and Bays: The C3-RACK-V2 has up to 4x internal 2.5in Drive Bays, 1x internal 3.5in Drive Bay, up to 3x Dual 2.5in Drive Bays and supports a PCI or PCI Express card up to 300mm. Many combinations are possible:
- Up to 3x 2.5in drives and 1x 3.5in drive without a PCI/PCI-E card fitted (without additional drive trays)
- Up to 5x 2.5in drives without a PCI/PCI-E card fitted (without additional drive trays)
- Up to 7x 2.5in drives without a PCI/PCI-E card fitted (with 2 additional drive trays)
- Up to 3x 2.5in drives with a PCI/PCI-E card* (up to ~180mm)
- 1x 2.5in drive with a Extended Length PCI/PCI-E card* (~180mm to ~300mm)
- *Up to 3x 2.5in drives may be additionally fitted underneath the PCI/PCI-E card if space allows

Double Width, Long Length PCI/PCI Express Support: PCI and PCI Express cards to ~300mm in length are supported, with the appropriate riser card. Double Width cards with Single Slots will fit though must of course be adequately powered and ventilated. If PCI/PCI-E cards longer than ~180mm are fitted the Dual 2.5in Drive Tray must be removed. .
Re-configurable Front Panel: The re-configurable front panel is supplied with a blank plate. In the accessory pack are a front panel with 2x USB 2.0 ports fitted on a header cable and a plate with a cut-out for a DB-9 Serial port. Serial ports for the front panel and rear PCI/PCI-E slot position are available separately. Other connectors are possible - please email us with your ideas or for details.
Near-Silent Power Supply: The C3-RACK-V2 features the same very high quality 80-PLUS certified 300W PSU found in our C2-RACK, which can accept any AC voltage from 110-240V. The PSU is near-silent and has the following outputs: 1x 20/24pin ATX Power, 1x P4 12v Power, 6x SATA Power, 1x Molex, 1x Floppy, 4x FAN Power Headers. The PSU is available separately and can be retro-fitted into our C1-RACK chassis.
C3-RACK-V2 drive fan configuration
Flexible, Expandable Cooling: The C3-RACK-V2 is supplied with 2x 40x40x20mm, 6.3 CFM @ 5200 RPM, 18 dBA ball bearing fans fitted in easy-remove fan brackets. Up to 2 more fans can be fitted. All fans can be powered directly from the internal PSU or from spare motherboard headers. Socket motherboards are supported - 1U side blower heatsinks are available.
Fan Controller Support: Our own fan controller with temperature probe and support for 1-4 fans will be available for the C3-RACK-V2 in Q3 2013. Fan speeds are slowed when temperatures are low and an audible alarm sounds if a fan fails.
Re-brandable: Silk screened aluminium "mini-itx.com" logo fitted to front panel can be unscrewed and removed or rebranded with a logo or asset label. Optional re-branding plate can be fitted over our stamped logo on the rear and printed with your own logo or internal asset or product number (new version 2 features)
Supported boards: Embedded Mini-ITX boards with ATX connectors and standard height heatsinks; Socket Mini-ITX boards with <30mm 1U heatsinks.
Recommended Socket boards: The Gigabyte GA-H61-D2V and GA-H97N-WiFi are popular boards that work very well with the C2-RACK. Processors higher than 35W TDP will require a low profile heatsink such as the Dynatron K2. Due to the near-silent nature of the C2-RACK, additional fans may be required for Socket motherboards.
Unsupported boards: Only a small number of Mini-ITX boards have a larger than normal heatsink that will not physically fit into a 1U chassis, e.g. (now discontinued) Zotac ION with heatsink and fan. If using a Socket motherboards with a heatsink taller than 30mm simply use a 1U compatible heatsink.
Backplates: Backplates are not required to mount motherboards securely but do reduce dust ingress at the rear of the case. We now can supply our Universal Backplate design which will fit any motherboard, and requires cutting with metal snips. Accessories: The C3-RACK-V2 is provided as standard with a wide range of accessories including: UK Power Cord with Space Saving Right Angled Connector, Blank plate for re-configurable front panel (provided fitted, easily unscrewed), Plate with DB-9 Serial port cut-out for front panel, 2x USB 2.0 ports on front panel, 2x SATA splitter cables, 3x Cage bolts and nuts, Multiple screws and spares for motherboard and HDD mounting, Self-adhesive rubber washers for shock-mounting and spacing HDDs, Cable ties, Self-adhesive tie mounts.

Universal backplate design for C1-RACK, C2-RACK and C3-RACK chassis only. This backplate can be cut to fit any motherboard IO shield design.
How to use: Fit backplate into case. The screw holes and metal tabs will align if correctly positioned. Place motherboard in position, offset slightly until backplate is cut. Mark location of motherboard IO shield components onto backplate (pencil or dry wipe marker recommended). Remove backplate and cut using using strong metal snips. Fit backplate and motherboard into position.
Custom backplate designs: We have designs for many different motherboards available. We may have one for your motherboard already - check the list on any of the C1-RACK, C2-RACK or C3-RACK chassis pages first before ordering the universal backplate.

Dynatron K2 Low Profile, 27.8mm High Side Blower Cooler suitable for fitting Intel Socket 1150, 1151, 1155 and 1156 motherboards with up to 73W TDP processors into a 1U Chassis.
Long life two-ball bearing fan draws the cool air though the fins and extracts hot air to one side to support chassis airflow. Intel approved push pins provide maximum compatibility. Pre-applied high performance TIG830SP thermal compound ensures clean and easy installation.
Case Compatibility: Side Blower design suitable for use in a 1U chassis. Tip: angle the K2 to force air out of the rear of the chassis.
