Silver-grey powder coating. Removable motherboard carrier for excellent thermal performance and easy cabling. External AC Adapter to reduce noise. 2 x 70mm fans on rear with room for additional 60mm fan on front. Kensington lock supported. Hinged lockable ABS-HB plastic front panel with keys.
Bays:
- 4x Removable 3.5in SATA HDD bays (SAS/SATAII compatible, can be hot swappable)
- 1x 2.5in SATA/IDE HDD bay. If using IDE HDD, a 2.5in to 3.5in IDE cable will be required.
- 1x Slimline Optical Drive bay. Slimline IDE Adapter included, Mini SATA cable required for SATA drives.
Front Panel: Power, Mute, Reset switches; 5x LEDs (PWR, HDD, LAN1, LAN2, FAULT); 2x USB 2.0; 2x slots for optional card 4-in-1 reader; Space for IR Receiver. Note: Standard front panel does not include 'Chenbro' badge.
Power supply: External 120W Universal 110/240V 19V AC adapter and internal 180W DC converter, ATX wiring loom with ATX, 12V P4 and connectors for all drive bays..
Measurements: 260(H) x 140(W) x 260(D) (10.2 x 5.5 x 10.2in) Volume: 9.46 litres.
Optional extras: PCI Riser Card *only* for internally mounting PCI Card (e.g. to add additional SATA ports); Replacement AMD/Intel Heatsink for some Mini-ITX boards; 4-in-1 Card Reader (connects to USB header on motherboard, adapter cable required with EPIA SN). Use a 75cm fan extender cable per fan to control the 2 chassis fans from your motherboard instead of the ES34069 power supply. More chassis fans can be added.
Recommended boards: almost all Mini-ITX boards will fit in the ES34069 chassis, but the 4-6 drive bays are better suited to boards with 4+ SATA ports. IDE connectors can also be useful for additional drive support.
Recommended board (1): Powerful - The Zotac H55-ITX-WiFi is a Socket LGA1156 board with 6x SATA connectors. Combine with the 180W ES34069 for an extremely powerful Core i3/i5 machine.
Recommended board (2): Powerful - The Intel DG45FC is a Socket LFA775 board supporting a wide range of CPUs with 4x SATA connectors and excellent RAID capabilities. 45W or 65W TDP CPUs can be used with the 120W ES34069.
Recommended board (3): Low Power Consumption, 6x SATA - The Dual Core Jetway Atom JNC92-330 has 2x SATA connectors and 1x IDE connector, but 4 more SATA 3Gbps connectors can be added with this daughterboard, giving 6x SATA connectors in total.
Recommended board (4): Low Power Consumption, Great Value - The Gigabyte GA-D510UD has 4x SATA and 1x IDE connectors, and is keenly priced.
Recommended board (5): Low Power Consumption, Accelerated Graphics - The Zotac ION-ITX-G has 4x SATA and the graphics acceleration of the ION chipset.
Recommended board (6): Low Power Consumption, Integrated Compact Flash - The EPIA SN has 4x SATA connectors, can be booted from integral CF Adapter, and comes in 1.8Ghz and Fanless 1.0GHz variants. To use the SN with a 2.5in IDE drive and a Slimline Optical drive, you will need this adapter and this cable. The SN has a 2.0mm pitch USB pin header, so is not directly compatible with the card reader or front panel USB 2.0 (though the SN does have 4x USB 2.0 ports on its rear panel). Add the "USB Adapter Cable for EPIA SN" to the shopping basket to connect the front panel USB or the optional card reader. EPIA SN USB Cable Manual
Slimline optical drives and RAM height: Some boards require ULP (ultra low profile) RAM under 30mm high in one/both of their DIMM slots if a slimline optical drive is used. These boards include: EPIA SN (1 slot), Jetway J7F2, J7F5M, Intel DG45FC. Boards with very large/wide heatsinks may not support slimline optical drives (e.g. EPIA EN, some larger AMD heatsinks).
Recommended software: Why not try Openfiler or Windows Home Server.
