Last update 13th May 2025.
We have a new limited edition case variant with RGB and a new high-end mobile-on-desktop AMD based system called the "Infinity". We have relented and added our remaining "Ultimate" stock for the unwashed masses. Enjoy!

One edge case that we hadn't planned for - the shopping basket isn't aware that the postal service exists and calculates based on courier costs which have a minimum amount, so a single mouse mat will give a high shipping cost for locations further afield. The 'fix' is a code-rewrite and test which we don't quite have time to do right now. Costs for larger items are correct. TLDR: If you are desperate for just a mat or coaster and live outside the UK please email us to avoid high postage costs.

How long would it take for you to build a machine for me?
We have cleared our backlog since our relaunch in early April and build times for all systems are now very quick (typically 1 or 2 days)
Why the delay?
We planned to launch with the Ultimate systems again but the factory told us rather late that they couldn't make more units for us. We have a new Phoenix board instead that you will be very pleased with. This has required a new 3D-printed duct design and as Commodore OS 2.0 wasn't compatible with the chipset it has inadvertently brought forward the launch of Commodore OS 3.0 from *when Leo gets round to it* to *in the next few days* 22nd April 2025.
Board stock levels @ 13th May 2025
We update the bundles. They are: Legend II (N100); Ultimate (i9-9880H CPU and NVidia GTX1650 Graphics):(Low Stock, will not be restocked); Infinity (Ryzen 9 7940HS and Radeon 780M Graphics). The Ultimate now sits slightly below the Infinity (slower CPU, similar GPU). All are Commodore OS 3.0 Compatible. The Legend II replaces the Starter, Extreme and Legend as it represents better value at the price point.
Case stock levels @ 13th May 2025
Beige: Very Good; Beige RGB variant: Good; All Chameleon colours inc. Translucent: None in stock or on order at the moment.
Why don't you have the other colours?
We can get the cases manufacturered in small quantities, but there is a MOQ on the custom keycaps which makes it difficult to get the numbers to make more. For this round, we have concentrated on the most popular Classic Beige colour. Some colours (e.g. White) look fantastic but Beige outsells them many times over. It could be a long time before we have more. Here's another secret if you did read this far: We do actually have a few interesting colours remaining (e.g. Pink). We're keeping these for people who ask *very* nicely (perhaps a YouTuber with an enthusiastic following wants to make a video).
Will any Mini-ITX board fit?
No. You need a board that is low enough in the right places (as the case is sloped). Here's a side view (also found within all the case images). There can't be any features underneath the board that get in the way. It's also worth noting the IO shield grooves in the case are only 1mm thick so some modern Gaming Style Mini-ITX boards won't fit because of that. You then need a way to power the board (a DC input or a picoPSU is usually the best way). You need appropriate cooling (Socket CPUs in particular run hot and low-profile heatsinks can run fast and loud). It's a heat/noise/power trade-off (did we mention all that before?).
What about non-standard board sizes like MiSTer FPGA boards, or a board from my Mini PC?
The C64x has 4 built-in standoffs, visible in some of the pictures. You might need to dremel these off. You could then use Sticky PCB Spacers to mount the board. You might need to 3D print (or do without) a backplate. We'll try to locate a scale top-view diagram to help with slightly wider boards.
How long will it take to get my stuff or answer my email?
We'll try as best we can. We have built an order tracker especially for build orders. We're answering your emails constantly.
How can I contact you?
You can email us at store@mini-itx.com. We have social media, but we're not very on top of it. Feel free to grow our Instagram following and we might make more of an effort.
