This is a Barebones unit. To complete your system a processor, memory and storage will be required. Please use our build link to choose compatible items.

Suitable Processors: The Deskmini X600 USB4 requires a compatible AMD AM5 processor with on-board graphics, and a TDP up to 65W. Ryzen 9000/8000/7000 series processors are supported. Some retail processors also include heatsinks but check the heatsink height. A heatsink is included with the X600 but the Noctua NH-L9a and Alucia H4A are excellent alternatives. As a rule of thumb, 8000 series processors have more powerful 3D graphics than 7000 series but please check benchmarks. Note: USB4 functionality (40Gbps) is only available with Ryzen 8000G series processors; Ryzen 9000/7000 series use USB 3.2 Gen2 with DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Storage Bays: 1x PCIe Gen5x4 M.2 Type 2280 (Upper) Slot and 1x PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 Type 2280 (Lower) Slot (Upper slot supports heatsinks, lower slot does not due to location on underside of board). RAID 0 and RAID 1 supported for M.2 NVMe storage devices. 2x SATA 6Gb/s 2.5 inch 7mm/9.5mm Hard Drive Bays. To achieve PCIe Gen5 x4 speeds on the upper M.2 Socket, a Raphael CPU is required.

Expansion: 1x M.2 Socket (Key E) supports Type 2230 WiFi/BT module, located underneath the upper M.2 storage slot

Build Tip: If installing Windows with 4 drives installed, Disk 0 and 1 will be the (slower) SATA drives. Disk 2 and 3 will be the M.2 drives.

Memory: The DeskMini X600 USB4 supports up to 128GB DDR5 memory up to 6400MHz+(OC), on 2x 64GB DDR5 SODIMMs. Memory purchased from this page or the configurator page is guaranteed to be compatible.

USB4 Features: The USB4 port supports 40Gbps data transfer (with Ryzen 8000G series), DisplayPort signals, and USB PD 3.0 up to 15W (5V@3A) charging. For Ryzen 9000/7000 series processors, the port functions as USB 3.2 Gen2 with DisplayPort Alt mode.
