Suitable Processors: The ASRock Z790M-ITX WIFI board supports 12th Gen (Alder Lake), 13th Gen (Raptor Lake) and 14th Gen* (Meteor Lake) Intel Core Socket LGA 1700 processors. The ASRock Z790M-ITX WIFI is not provided with a processor. Suitable processors are available in the 'you may also require' section to the left.

*14th Gen CPU Support: If using a 14th Gen processor, BIOS needs to be at version 7.02 or above. A 12th/13th Gen processor may be required to update the BIOS, depending on the build date of your board.

Suitable Coolers: The ASRock Z790M-ITX WIFI supports Socket 1700 processors. A selection of suitable coolers can be found here.

Integrated Graphics: Most 12th/13th Gen Intel Core Processors have integrated Intel UHD or Xe Graphics. If using an Intel processor without integrated graphics (usually 'F' or 'KF' in model name) you will need a graphics card. Integrated graphics supports Microsoft DirectX 12; OpenGL 4.5; OpenCL 3.0. HDMI 2.1 port supports HDCP 2.3 and HBR (High Bit Rate Audio) with a suitable monitor.

Multiple Screens: This board Supports up to 3 displays simultaneously via DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and eDP (external DisplayPort).

Onboard RAID: The ASRock Z790M-ITX WIFI supports Intel Rapid Storage Technology 19 which provides the following RAID levels via the Intel Z790 Express Chipset: RAID 0 - data striping; RAID 1 - data mirroring; RAID 0+1 (or RAID 10) - data striping and mirroring; RAID 5 - distributed parity.

Wireless LAN: The included 802.11ax WiFi 6E Module supports Dual-Band 2x2 160MHz with extended 6GHz band support*; Supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ax and Bluetooth 5.2 & High speed class II; Supports MU-MIMO; 2 antennas to support 2 (Transmit) x 2 (Receive) diversity technology. WiFi 6E will be enabled for supported countries through Windows and software Update once available in mid 2021.

Suitable Cases: Mini-ITX chassis with at least a 120W (or larger) power supply and an appropriate low profile heatsink if necessary. If using a larger than 65W TDP processor or Turbo Boost is enabled in the BIOS, a larger power supply than 120W may be required.

Suitable Memory: The ASRock Z790M-ITX WIFI supports up to 64GB DDR5 memory in 2 slots natively at 5200MHz (Dual Rank) & 5600MHz (Single Rank). The ASRock Z790M-ITX WIFI supports Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) 3.0. In OC mode the Z790M-ITX WIFI supports up to DDR5 7000MHz+. DDR5 is not compatible with other types of DDR memory.
