It was also possible to put the back cover in place without damaging it too much.

I have changed the CPU fan to a bigger and slower one to make the computer a little less noisy.

To be able to control the computer without using the keyboard I use an old multi function remote control. It is connected to the serial port via an optical eye. The eye is placed at the top right on the front panel. Winlirc is used to translate the commands into something Winamp can understand.

The display is a LCD display with 4x20 characters, bought from Crystal Fontz. I am using a plugin to Winamp to control the text. I have put the display in a photo frame next to the radio because I didn't want to ruin the look of the radio.

The buttons on the front panel are now used for, from the left: Eject, free button, free button, Restart, Power. Mostly I use the computer to listen to Internet radio and MP3s, but I also surf on the Internet using the TV. The radio is connected to a surround receiver and a wide screen TV.

I think it looks nice in the living room!
